FAAC (Freeware Advanced Audio Coder) is an encoder program for the AAC compressed audio format. Both MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 are supported. This binary was linked with libmp4v2 from the FAAD2 2.0 package, which gives it the ability to encode to AAC audio files in an MP4 container file format, in addition to the original AAC file format.
